The recently launched Zeekr 001 has claimed the prestigious title of the fastest-charging electric car, showcasing remarkable peak power capabilities. Equipped with a 95 kWh CATL Shenxing battery, the Zeekr 001 charges from 10% to 80% in a mere 11 minutes and 28 seconds, while simultaneously extending its driving range by an impressive 473 kilometers. This exceptional charging speed is made possible by utilizing the cutting-edge 600 kW Zeekr V3 charger at an ambient temperature of +26 °C, with peak charging power reaching an astounding 546.4 kW. During the charging process, the Zeekr 001 maintains a charging power of over 540 kW between 10% and 35% charge levels, allowing for a rapid increase in driving range by 264 kilometers in just 5 minutes and an impressive 432 kilometers in 10 minutes.
The Zeekr 001’s battery, the advanced CATL Shenxing battery, incorporates temperature control technology, ensuring ultra-fast charging capabilities across a wide temperature range. Even in chilly conditions of -10 °C, the battery can be charged up to 80% in just 30 minutes.
To further enhance the charging infrastructure, Zeekr has ambitious plans to construct an additional 1,000 ultra-fast charging stations this year, supplementing the existing 900 charging stations. The current network already boasts an impressive 5,490 chargers, including 2,483 chargers with a power rating of 360 kW and above, firmly establishing Zeekr’s presence in the Chinese market.
The highly anticipated Zeekr 001 was unveiled in February, with deliveries commencing on March 1, signaling a new era of high-performance electric vehicles.
