A British Company Bringing Electric Power to Automotive Icons
Everrati is a British automotive engineering company that is making waves in the electric vehicle (EV) world. Based in Oxford, England, they are dedicated to electrifying some of the most iconic classic cars and creating cutting-edge EV platforms and components for other automakers.
With a team of engineers from companies like Rimac, Cosworth, Prodrive, and Ferrari, Everrati is bringing serious talent and expertise to realize their electric dreams. Let’s take a closer look at what they’ve been up to.
Electrifying Automotive Legends
One of Everrati’s main focuses is taking legendary cars from the past and converting them to modern, zero-emissions EVs through their “Everrati Signature” vehicle program. Some of the automotive icons they have electrified include:
- Porsche 911 (964) – Keeping the classic air-cooled design but swapping the gas engine for EV power.
- Ford GT40 – Giving the legendary 1960s Le Mans racecar a zero-emissions reboot (covered in more detail below).
- Mercedes-Benz 280 SL “Pagoda” – Bringing the stunning 1960s Mercedes roadster into the 21st century.
- Land Rover Series IIA – Turning the rugged British 4×4 into a whisper-quiet off-road EV.
Their conversions keep the soul and style of the original vehicles intact while providing modern EV performance and zero tailpipe emissions. It’s the best of past and future combined.
The Everrati GT40: A Legendary Revival
One of Everrati’s highest-profile projects is its electric GT40. Working with Superformance, who produces official continuation GT40 chassis, Everrati has created the first fully-sanctioned electric version of this iconic 1960s racecar.
The Everrati GT40 packs in a powerful EV powertrain generating up to 800 hp and over 800 lb-ft of instant torque from twin electric motors. A 60 kWh battery provides over 125 miles of range and can charge from 20-80% in 45 minutes on a DC fast charger.
With a 0-60 mph time under 4 seconds yet weighing less than the original GT40, it promises blistering performance while being kinder to the environment. It’s a purist’s EV restaurant dream.
Some key Everrati GT40 specs:
- 0-60 mph: Under 4 seconds
- Power: 800 hp / 800 lb-ft torque
- Range: 125+ miles
- Battery: 60 kWh
- Charging: 20-80% in 45 mins (DC fast charge)
- Chassis: Steel monocoque with 40/60 F/R weight distribution
- Adjustable suspension, Wilwood brakes, and other performance upgrades are available
Prices start around $750,000 for this ultra-exclusive electric restomod supercar.
Powered by Everrati: EV Platforms for Automakers
But Everrati isn’t just focused on exclusive restaurant EVs. They have even bigger ambitions with their “Powered by Everrati” program, which supplies advanced EV platforms and components to other automakers.
Everrati’s scalable EV platform can provide power outputs from 440 hp up to a hypercar level of 880 hp. Battery sizes range from 60 kWh up to 120 kWh, with 0-60 times as low as under 3 seconds for the highest performance variants.
The platform starts at around $250,000, targeting the high-end supercar/hypercar segment. It promises to allow boutique automakers and coachbuilders to launch their own electric supercars up to 70% faster than starting from scratch.
Everrati has already partnered with W Motors (makers of the exotic Lykan Hypersport) and has ambitions to become an EV platform supplier rivaling companies like Rimac.
The Road Ahead for Everrati
With increasing demand for EVs and stricter emissions regulations on the horizon, the road ahead looks wide open for companies like Everrati blazing a trail for electrified performance.
Whether preserving automotive history through cutting-edge electric restorations, or powering the next generation of electric supercars, Everrati is pursuing an electrifying vision. We can’t wait to see what other iconic classics get the EV treatment, or what vehicles get “Powered by Everrati” in the years ahead.
They are living proof that the switch to EVs doesn’t have to mean leaving passion and performance behind. It’s an exciting new chapter being written.
