REZON Bohemia
Rezon Bohemia Electric Motorcycle
The Czech Republic-based Rezon Motorcycles team has officially launched their highly anticipated flagship model, the Rezon Bohemia. This marks the beginning of a new era for the brand, as Rezon Motorcycles takes over as the successor to Alrendo Motorcycles. Alongside the debut of Bohemia, the team also provided insight into the challenges faced by their predecessor, Alrendo Motorcycles.
Transition from Alrendo Motorcycles to Rezon
In 2023, Alrendo Europe ceased trading operations due to complications stemming from its partnership with Alrendo Motorcycles China. Issues arose when Alrendo Europe placed an order for 3 containers of motorcycles from Alrendo China but only received 2. Furthermore, the lack of spare parts from Alrendo China posed significant challenges in maintaining motorcycles sold in Europe. To address the demand for spare parts, 3 new motorcycles and 2 used ones were utilized for spare parts at the distribution warehouse in Prague. However, this approach proved unsustainable, leading to difficulties in supplying dealerships with necessary spare parts.
Initiatives to Address Spare Parts Shortage
In response to the spare parts shortage, the Alrendo.com domain is set to transform into an e-commerce platform, allowing existing customers to purchase spare parts. The platform aims to launch by May 2024, although the date is tentative pending the availability of new suppliers for certain parts.
Unveiling the Rezon Bohemia Electric Motorcycle
Jan Vrana, Business Director of Rezon Motorcycles, expressed pride in announcing the Rezon Bohemia after over 12 months of development. The Bohemia fills a crucial gap in the market for a long-range, full-size electric motorcycle priced under 12,000 euros.
Key Features of the Rezon Bohemia Electric Motorcycle
The Rezon Bohemia boasts impressive specifications, including a 15.3 kWh battery pack providing a range of 260 km, a top speed of 140 km/h, and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6 seconds. With Nissin brakes, Michelin tires, and a 6.6 kW onboard charger, the Bohemia offers both AC and DC charging capabilities as standard. Manufactured in the Czech Republic, the European versions of the Bohemia are classified as A1 class vehicles, allowing riders with a license for a gearless 125cc bike to operate them. The MSRP for Bohemia is set at 11,899 euros (including 21% VAT), excluding any potential government incentives.
